More about Berna Hotel Milan
Great Hotel near the train station.
My family spent two nights at the Berna Hotel one night April 3, 2009 and another night on April 18, 2006. We had two rooms a triple and a king.and each room was very clean and furnished with comfy beds. My mother's room was a very large with a king size bed and a huge bathroom. She loved her room and my mother is very particular about cleanliness.
The breakfast was the best I have ever had in Italy. It remnded me of a Sunday brunch at a very nice hotel back home.
A short walk to the train station was ideal for us as a family, being that we were travelling with my 82 year old mother. Close to the Mertro too!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to other members of my family and friends.
Very nice hotel
The hotel and room seemed recently renovated and very clean. Many ammenities in the rooms like you would find in the US (hair dryers, etc.). The room wasn't overly large, but perfectly fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The location was just around the corner from the main train station. Good hotel for the value (paid E89 on Venere). Would definitely stay again!
Just spent a long weekend at the Berna. Very impressed
Smallish room...Very clean...Very good breakfast...excellent staff
Easy to find from the central railway station and a metro station only 100 yards walk.
As is usual in large cities , and being close to a railway station, there are 'ladies' waiting for business but not many and not intrusive. Madrid was far worse.
You probably wouldn't want to be wandering around at midnight unless part of a large crowd ....same in any large city.
I am sorry, but the other reviewers of this hotel must not travel very often, to think it was wonderful in any way is narrow in the extreme.
This hotel is not near any restaurants, shops or anything worth seeing. It is in a grubby part of town about 40 minutes walk from Duomo.
I have a very very small single room, with a bed that is uncomfortable (it has a great dip in the middle). The room is clean but noisy, I have been here two nights and have been woken up at 4am 5am etc because the walls are so thin I can hear my neighbours every breath.
The bathroom is below parr, the shower is as weak as cat wee, and there is no bath.
The consierge is unfriendly and patronising, the breakfast is reasonable.
I do not recommend this hotel, and I am beginning to wonder about the experience of those who contribute to tripadvisor.
Please could someone tell me how easy it is to get from Bergamo Airport to hotel Berna in Milan and how much it will cost
And it wasn´t expensive,about 7 to 9e 2 years ago.
Hotel Berna's website says that it is 200 meters from the bus station for the shuttles from all the local airports (and 200 meters from Milano Centrale, which is no surprise).
shows the shuttle from Bergamo's airport, which is Orio al Serio. See the website for times and prices (about every 30 minutes and 9 euro, if I remember correctly)...
For the last 200 meters, you're on your own ;-)
There is also the Ryanair Terravision coach direct from the airport to Milan for E10. and alternatively you can get a shuttle bus to Bergamo Station and the train into Milan Central for about six euro.
We used that Terravison bus,it was about 9e back then. When we came back ,we didn´t find Terravison bus, and we took some other similar bus, I don´t remeber the name, but it also went from Bergamo airport to Milan.
