After you have finished at baggage storage, now you can lead to the city center. Which means to duomo..
Just outside the train station you can see the white Taxis that can take you down there.. Dont hesitate it is not far but more for a walking distance..
This is a must do..

Discount Shopping
by jlee008 about Il Salvagente
The shop is kinda of out of the way, but not too diffiult to find. You have to go through some gates and down a driveway of sorts before getting to the store. There is lots and lots to choose from but the display is absolutely nil. If you find something you like in your size, it is advisable to buy it.
When you first enter your this haven of cast off designer apparel, you will hit the section with all the hottest designers like Gucci, Prada, Armani, Pucci, etc. The other sections have nicely made Italian clothing. You can even find some American designers thrown into the mix. However, I find that the prices are a bit more than what I would find at an equivalent store in the US.
They have a small selection of shoes and handbags, but they are nice and discounted way below their retail prices.
In Milan, they also have tremendous sales during the months of January and July if you are ever lucky enough to be there during those times of the year. Sometimes you might luck out and get someone nice who you can convince to pity you and let you have the sale discount a couple of weeks before the sale. Ask, it doesn't hurt.
Also, if you happen to be in town during one of the tremendous sales, get there early to snag the best selection and deals because they will go fast!!
However, one caution is that when you are in Milan, do as the Milanese do...dress up to go shopping. It is much like the way you want to shop when you are here in the States. If you want great service, then dress the part. Anything they have that you like that is a good deal for you. If you can fit it and it can fit in your budget and in your suitcase, I recommend that you buy it. There are evening clothes, casual clothes, you name it and they have it. Just don't blink at something too many times because some fashionable Milanese woman might come along and snatch it up before you even blink twice!!!! 50-70% off retail prices
Further discounts during their January and July sales on top of their already reduced prices.
Metro
by mrkokomo
It cost me a Euro for each trip. I bought tickets at the ticket vending machine. Milan is a small city and metro gets you to all the tourist attractions.
To go to Linate airport, take metro to St. Basilla station and take Bus #73 to the airport. Buy your bus ticket (costs 1 euro) in the metro station. At airport, you can buy ticket at the bus station.
Hmmm, well I cabbed it there...

Hmmm, well I cabbed it there for 20 CDN....just cause I had no idea how to get there...but if you looked there's a subway station right there that will take you a block away from the hostel! And that only costs about 2000 Lires! 1.70 CDN...
Walk or take the bus!! Great way to see the city.
