Its location directly on the Amalfi coast. You can look at the sea straight from your balcony, enjoy the fresh smell of the sea and the magnificant view. Also the hotel look as if it was a museum converted to Hotel. It has a charming and lovely ambiance. Great service, great location and great views.

Pisa

by Willettsworld

There's more to Pisa than just the Leaning Tower, but the Leaning Tower simply takes your breathe away when you first see it leaning over at 5.5 degrees. You can't take your eyes off it!! Take time to visit it at night when the crowds have gone. You can sit down and marvel at it in relative peace. I love the whole area around the tower known as Campo dei Miracoli or "Field of Miracles" which lies to the north of the old town center. The Campo dei Miracoli is also the site of the beautiful Duomo (the Cathedral), the Baptistry and the Camposanto (the monumental cemetery).

Other interesting sights include Knights' Square (Piazza dei Cavalieri), where the Palazzo della Carovana, with its awesome facade designed by Giorgio Vasari may be seen, Borgo Stretto where it is possible to stroll under medieval arcades and Lungarno, the avenues along the river Arno, Santa Maria della Spina church which is along the south bank of the river and some Roman remains.

Safe choice for Milano

by TripAdvisor Member R-Almeida

Stayed at Dei Cavalieri in Milan for two days in late November and almost everything was OK.
Location is very good, realy near to Duomo Piazza, the right place to be in Milan. Most of the hotels are in a stupid place near Central Station, avoid them at all cost!
Room was not big, but ok. Very clean. Good classic decoration. Good marble bathroom. Clean and comfy bed. Climate control... forget it! Noise insulation... bah! Choose a high floor!
Very good breakfast!!!
Staff, as good as you can get in Italy... but you can allways use your iPOD, strongly recommended everywhere in Italy!!!!!!
I payed € 98,00 with a operator, for that price is a very safe choice, I think you can not get better that this for the price! This is one of the rarest 4 star hotels in Italy that realy look like one!

Chic Hotel near Duomo, near Parking too

by TripAdvisor Member Kelobie

I just returned from a weekend trip in Milano, where I stayed at the Dei Cavalieri for 2 nights. This hotel is chic and centrally located, only 3-5 minutes walk from the Duomo. Unless you can afford to stay at the Park Hyatt/ Four Seasons I cannot think of any better located hotel than this one. The lobby is small but modern, living up to a 4-star standard.

I had a single room on the 4th floor, facing the main road for Linate Airport and the ring road, so traffic could be heavy. The windor is double glazed/ noise-proof though. If you need the window open when you sleep you will have to ask for a room facing the inner courtyard, but then you will lose the view.

Parking in the city center is difficult to find, especially near the Duomo area. But there are some spots close by. Look for "Plaza Diaz", half way between the hotel and the Duomo, Avis and Eurocar are there too so you can rent a car for a day to see Como Lake or Outlet shopping in Switzerland (only 1.5 hours away).

Great Hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member Sarah5

Very nice hotel, excellently located we made use of the frequent trams that stopped outside to whizz us about or the underground. Our only problem was a disturbed night's sleep on the Saturday night. We were by the lifts and other guests coming to bed at 3am woke us with their loud talking, which is very annoying and extremely rude!
Apart from that the hotel itself couldn,t be faulted although we booked with Expedia and were promised a 'business room with bathrobes and slippers' for our money, which was a lie!

Excellent

by TripAdvisor Member apaula

Very nice facilities, clean, fairly spacious for European hotel room. Ample buffet breakfast in the morning. Professional staff speaks excellent English. A nice location, only a five or ten minute walk from the Duomo and some large shopping areas. Metro stop across the street. Would definitely stay there again.
