how much vil it cost to take a taxi from milan to genua, i must get on board a ship and the plane is landin in milan at 12.00 and the ship i going at 15.00

First, which airport are you landing at? Malpensa? Linate? or Bergamo (Orio al Serio)? If Bergamo, then you can't make the trip in 3 hours anyway. If from Linate or Malpensa then MAYBE you could make the trip, if everything was perfect.
I am assuming that it will take you an hour to get out of the airport (Customs & Immigration, luggage, etc.), and it will take nearly 2 hours (by taxi or limo) to get from Milan to Genova (Bergamo is an hour on the other side of Milan from Genova, which is why it's not possible to get to Genova by 15:00 from Bergamo).
I wouldn't take a taxi, because the trip is at least 145 kilometers (closer to 175 for Malpensa), and the taxi would probably charge you for both directions. Instead, if you can actually board later than 15:00, then I might take a limo (see www.airportconnection.it for such a company - ask for a quote).
If the ship sails much later - like 19:00 or so, I would take the bus from the three airports to Milano Centrale train station, then take the train to Genova, where you can take a bus (or taxi) on the relatively short ride to the docks.

Hi,
I have the same kind of problem. I booked a cruise from Genoa. My airport will be Bergamo and landing at about 8 :30 pm. I booked a hotel in milano for the night before boarding. The problem is that this hotel is in the verry south of milano. The Airport is 45 km north.
Can somebody tell me how to reach this hotel ( Alga Hotel) by public transport in that night? I understand there are some buses to the center of milan. What about then? How much could be a taxi from there? ( google earth says 4-5 km till the hotel)Are there any taxi that our ( suppose 10:30 pm?)

there is bus service from Orio al Serio Airport until about midnight, so you should be able to get the bus down to Milano Centrale (the main train station). There will be a taxi queue at the station, and there should be taxis waiting all night long, certainly at the hours you plan to arrive. A 24-hour taxi stand at the main train station is the norm in all major Italian cities and in a number of smaller ones.
Note that http://www.atm-mi.it/ATM/eng is the website (in English) for Milan's public transportation system - with a little effort, you can ask it for the solution by bus/Metro to your hotel from the train station...

This statue of Guiseppe Arini is in the middle of Piazza Cordusio. Milan is such a beautiful city combining both the historic with the modern world. This piazza was nothing out of the ordinary in Milan. I found it such a great experience just to relax at the small restaurant just off the piazza and watch the city pass by.

Two very famous superstars who play equally important roles in the Italian Serie A. Christian Vieri in blue-striped shirt (during his long stint with Inter Milan. Vieri has since quit Inter)... and Captain Paolo Maldini (in red and black striped shirt) from AC Milan.
You can find their wax statues inside the San Siro Stadium. Not very life-like and can't be compared with the superb wax works at Madame Tussaud's.
The emporium-like basement has countless small stalls with everything from kitchen gadgets to Oshkosh for kids, household objects from North Africa, buttons, stationery, books, a woman who reads your fortune in the cards for $20 (only afternoons), little gold animal charms from Pomellato, hair ornaments from all over the world, a Swatch counter, and the ultimate for newborns, tiny sweaters knit in silk or cashmere, in pink, lime, pale yellow, and white. The three-story emporium also sells the traditional Fiorucci jeans (considered by many women the best-fitting), underwear, t-shirts, and jackets.
Fiori Oscuri – the 'Dark Flower' – is a hip hang-out where Milan's gliterrati come to sip and be seen. The colourful, organic interior with its curved wooden staircase, designer furniture, vaulted ceilings and vibrant red walls has a chilled out atmosphere and attracts a fashionable crowd who love fine wines, live music and excellent cocktails. Located on the via Fiori, the restaurant has a modern Italian menu – and locals love the gnocchi with plum tomatoes, roasted thyme and apples; the seared tuna fillet with a red onion, caper, basil and Sicilian tomato salsa; and the rich chocolate mousse for dessert.
At every station you will see this map, and also the map of subway and suburbano related to the city locations, which is even more efficient. The best is if you have that kind of map with you when you're moving around.
