Il Duomo
by croisbeauty
Not many of churches in Italy underwent such a slow building process as Milano's cathedral, the work actually went on troughout five centuries, and the original Gothic style was never abandoned. It was, in fact, through the cathedral that the High Gothic style from beyond the Alps made its way down to Milano and henceforth infuenced the whole country.
The cathedral, dedicated to Mary, was actually begun in 1387 over the site of the 9th century basilica of St. Maria Maggiore. The chief engineer was Simone da Orsegnigo who was aided by several Campionese Swiss masons. The Gothic schemes, however, in the hands of the Italian architects lost much of their Northern flavor and acquired a more typical Italian feeling. Simone da Orsegnigo was surrounded by a crew of great stonemasons: Marco of Campione, Matteo da Campione and the greatest of all, Giovannino de Grassi.......

YSL - The most beautieful store on this planet!
by abstract_diva about Yves Saint Laurent
THE MOST STYLISH STORE IN THE WORLD! Imagine a YSL-Runway over 2 floors! It was all in black with "special" wood decorations and fur + the entire store was scented in an interesting, sensual smell. And the Sales-Personal was SO FRIENDLY! We came in and they instantly asked if we wanted a refreshment and test the "In Love again refreshment fragrance" - which smelled really good. We`ve been there quite some time, were shown things and discussed YSL-matters. And when we left without buying something THEY WERE STILL FRIENDLY! High Fashion, Luxury 400 Euro and up
not so Shocking!
by Flamegirl about Shocking Club
I came here one Tuesday night and had a fun evening between buffet, dancing and fashion show. Luckily we entered free but full price is 17 euros. Nice nightclub but nothing really special; a bit costly for what's on offer.
Main dancefloor isn't huge but there is some space to sit around the sides. Another bar and more space up in the gallery. The music was a good mix at least.
