Good location but small room

Right around the corner of Piazza Lima, with my favourite lunch restaurant just outside the door (pizzeria Sabatini) and the famous shopping street Corso Buenos just around the other corner. No wonder I liked the location of Hotel Serena.
Clean, nice breakfast, which you'll have on the top floor with a very nice view out over the city of Milan. You won't see far, but it still a nice view. Most probably even better in the spring and summer when there is a terrace to sit outside too!

Those are the positive things about the hotel. Unfortunately there were some negative ones too. Me and my travel companion had a double room, so small we had trouble to be there both of us at the same time. No space to pass each other, if I say so. There really isn't anything else than a bed, a very small one too for being a double, and a small tv.

Now, I don't expect a 40' plasma in the hotel room, but still it would be nice with one that is a little bit bigger than my thumb...? ;)

But if you need a place to sleep at, with no further expectations than a good location, this is truly your place! During weekends it's normally a really good price too, we paid just 65 euro for a double room. But if it would have been during the week the price had been the double.
And that, my friends, would definately not have been worth the money.

Great service from the reception staff, who made us feel very welcome. They helped us to get a taxi whenever we wanted and even made sure it was the right one before they let us take it.

Unique Quality: As written above, the breakfast on the top floor was really nice, no matter how tired I was.
The friendly service was another good thing, and then the price too of course. Would probably return to Hotel Serena again, for a weekend price. But mostly for the good location.

Reasonable price in good location

Serena is a very comfortable, fully renovated hotel. It's within quite short distance from the center, you cen get there by foot. It's also right by Lima metro station if you don't feel like walking.
They have a glass covered roof restaurant which probably is great in the spring time but it was terribly cold in February. Still, cappucino was great.
