let me know the best way to milano centrale

by musery

hello,

I'll be in Milano in May 7th for a just one day.
Then, I want to visit only two place'
- 'Santa Maria delle Grazie' and 'ETRO Factory OutLet' (20135 Milano (MI) Via Spartaco, 5)

I already reserved a ticket for 'The Last Supper' painting at 9: 45 am and a train to Spiez, Switzerland at 11:20.
After looking around the 'Santa Maria delle Grazie', I'd like to visit the 'ETRO Factory Outlet' and buy some goods and move to Milano

Centrale Station by 11:20.

then,
1. please let me know the fast way to 'Etro Outlet' from the Last Supper(by tram or bus, subway..)

2. Is this plan possible? or not?

(I'll stay the etro factory for a 30 minutes)

Thank you

Hy,
It's very hard. Etro outlet is on the other side of Milan and it isn't close to metro. Faster solution is the bus.
From Santa Maria delle Grazie, you must go to Magenta - S.Maria delle Grazie stop, then catch line # 16 To Monte Velino for 11 stops, get off in Bergamo - Monte Nero stop and walk for 300 m. From Magenta - S.Maria delle Grazie, buses run every 8 minutes and they arrive in Bergamo- Monte Nero in 25 m. but It depends to traffic.
Then you must back to Central Station:
In Monte Nero - Spartaco stop catch line # 169 to Stazione Centrale for 10 stops, get off in Filzi - Zezon stop, 200 meters and you're in Central Station.
# 169 every 8 minutes and run is 15 minutes long (depends).
For me your tour is hard to do: you've not much time.
Good luck.
Ciao, Marco

Everything said by the previous poster is true, apart from the existence of a bus number 169. I still do not know why the transportation websites still list it like that.
Right next to the outlet there is a tram stop with trams 9 and 29 going directly to the central station. They are pretty frequent and the journey takes around 15-20 minutes.
Still, I don't recommend trying to do all this, unless you can minimize your stay at the outlet to around 15 minutes to be on the safe side.

Travel Tips for Milan

On the way to Milano

by Erkmen

When I got my ticket I just walked down and get on the Malpensa Express Train.. Malpensa Express trains are quiet comfortable and nice looking. These double deckers have first floor where you can store your baggage and upstairs more comfortable seats..

I do not like taking pictures of girls :).. But occasionally this girl has appeared to be on my camera.. Really something out of control...

Calcio

by jubistuta79

Every time or if you plan to visit Italy, dont forget to watch any football match here. Football is a big crazy in Italy. After weekly match, you can watch all tv channel (rai uno, due, tre, mediaset uno, 5) will have a talkshow about the game .. and this discussion can be long until 3 hours!Remember:

1. You CANT buy a ticket on the same day of match (match day).
2. All ticket must purchase at leat 24hrs bfore game.
3. Tickets only can purchase at specific place, likes fanshop, bank and bar.
4. Check a cost for a seat .. )best view can cost you up to 90 euro .. depends on game. Game involving Juve, AC milan, Inter and Roma can be expensive than other team.
5. Bring a passport for ticket check at entrance.

Shopping for Designer Brands

by sierralyndon

For the most exclusive designer shopping, focus on the area around Via Manzoni, Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga. There is a four storey Armani superstore and a lovely Gucci megastore (one of those places with no price tags on the items on display). These places intimidate me no end, so I only ever go in when I'm dressed "properly".

Cozy restaurant/bar in Brera

by Henrik_rrb about El Beverin

A third bar/restaurant in Brera. Very nice, although maybe a bit expensive – if you don’t go there with girls who know the owner… Which I’ve done…

The next time I visited the place it wasn’t as cheap though… ;)

The food is good, although nothing spectacular. The interior design is nice, depending on your mood that night it could be romantic, or just dark. It’s in some way up to you to decide.

Have a big collection of different wines, 80 sorts. Also their drinks were good, although I quickly went back to the beer after a while.
Open all days a week, all year around.

Closes at 2 am.
You can pre-notate, but I’ve never seen the place overcrowded. Come as you want, although you might choose something a bit extra nice for the evening.

I took a plane to Milan...

by Mirellaboer

I took a plane to Milan Malpensa airport. This airport is located outside Milan, but there is a really good connection by train to the center of Milan.
It's called the Malpensa Express and it will leave every half a hour from the airport (and from Milan from stazione Nord) and will cost you around the 15.000 Lire. That's a lot cheaper than taking a taxi.
While I was in Milan, the weather was great so I did everything by foot.
