Piazza infornt of the Duomo
by Gard
I mentioned that the Piazza del Duomo seems like a natural center in town. In front of the Duomo itself is the piazza and it is occupied by pigeons, tourists, street vendors and people trying to sell pigeon feed to the tourists. The people trying to sell the pigeon feed were a bit aggressive and annoying. Even if you said “no” they tried to grab your hand to put some food into in order to attract the birds. We eventually managed to outmaneuver them :-). Another place to mosey through is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This is an old and elegant arcade that connects Piazza del Duomo with the Piazza delle Scala (where you will find the world renowned theater Scala). The building houses shops and cafes (including a McDonalds that seemed a bit out of place there) and there is a special atmosphere due to the glass ceiling and the mosaic floor.
Giuseppe Meazza
by jeoren
Giuseppe Meazza is one of the stadiums built for the World Cup 1990 in Italy.
From the outside it looks like an amazing big concrete clog.
The stairs are accommodated in spiral constructions at the corners of the stadium.
The most famous store in the city
by d_d about La Rinascente
La Rinascente is the most famous store in Milan.
The name La Rinascente has been creted by D'Annunzio after a big fire that destroyed an old shop here located.
Here you can find whatever you want, but pay attention many things are more expensive than in other shops!

by Flamegirl about Art Café
Art Cafe is a pleasant bar in the Brera district, which is one of my three recommendations for evening buffets (see my tips on Art Factory and L'Altro Bastian Contrario for the other two). If you go along between around 6-8pm there is a good selection of free food which customers can help themselves to.
Other than the food I wouldn't say it's anything special (good cocktails, average prices), but in the summer you can sit outside (just mind the mosquitoes after dark, I was eaten alive in July). none

Buses may be very crowded.
Driving is OK (people usually respect the road code), but parking is impossible. During rush hours traffic may be very heavy.
