Lake Maggiore.... WOW!
by Krystynn
Take a trip up to the grand lakes of Northern Italy. Yes, picturesque Lake Maggiore (and of course, Lake Como ). They are the most scenic places I've seen here in Italy. Our company will be having an offsite in September 2003 somewhere in the Lake Como area. I can only imagine it'd be another equally fantastic place.
Well, Lake Como/ Lake Maggiore beckons those who wish to go there for a romantic weekend interlude. Er... but please bring along an umbrella or anorak with you as the weather can change in a flash (like some jealous women's moods here on VT) ;-) and I heard electrical storms DO occur even in the summer months. No... I haven't personally experienced this phenomenom. Phew!
Second shop
by Henrik_rrb about Replay
The Replay shop is on the Via Vittorio Emanuelle, the big street behind the Duomo. Shortly before the H&M (don't go there, ***ty clothes. All swedish... ;) ) you'll find the Replay store on your right.
Two floors, with clothes for both men, women and kids. Probably for dogs too if you just look good enough.
Much depending on my mood I sometimes find something I like here. As with D&G in the last tip the clothes here are very expensive, at least if you ask me, and you should really like something before you actually buy it.
But, naturally, the quality is great. (see the difference with H&M...?). Not so many people working here as at D&G, which actually is quite nice. More room to just walk around, without three persons jumping on you, asking if you need any help. :) T-shirts, jeans, shirts, shoes, bags, jackets and more and more, depending on the status of your burning Visa card... I bought a shirt here, paid about 100 euro I think. As said before, this is not a shop you come into to find something cheap...
'hey taxi' oh ok then... i will walk...
by feag
When arriving at airport (we went into Linate) we ignored the guys asking if we wanted a taxi at the exit area, we walked round to the taxi rank and into the main area cost us ?17 dont pay more than that (march '06).
When in Milan walking around, you can just hail a taxi you either need to call for one or go to a designated taxi area. Taxi's wont stop if you try to hail them.
Put your seatbelts on in the back!!
