Charming hotel

The Lancaster is a terrific little hotel-especially for the price, as others have mentioned. We loved that it's in a real Milano neighborhood, full of local flavor and near a large park. The hotel recommended a terrific dinner spot (called SUMMER) that fit our bill for a local hangout with great food and "kid-friendly". Take a taxi to Cadorna station if you have a lot of luggage--a walk to the metro one afternoon caused us to abandon our plan of lugging bags there to catch the Malpensa Express to the airport. Yet an inexpensive cab ride fixed that problem, and should be easy to catch one from Cadorna to the Lancaster. So stay there!
Excellent hotel-Loved it

The staff were the best ever, so polite and helpful, just wonderful people. The breakfast buffet was one of the best in our entire trip, full meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, pastries and amazing coffee, any way you want it. The room was lovely, sparkling clean and very comfortable. I had gotten an amazing rate on Orbitz's by booking and payiing in advance, so I was very pleased. I would stay there every time I visited this lovely city.
Great Milan Hotel

Stayed at the Lancaster for 3 nights from 10th July.We had a twin room on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel facing the main street.I am a light sleeper but the excellent two double glazed windows seperated by a metal shutter blocked out all sound and light. The room was small but very clean and had a safe, air con, fridge, good bathroom but no tea and coffee maker. The buffet breakfast was very good. All the staff were extremely helpful and the reception staff helped with advice on trams, buses, places to visit. An excellent hotel and within walking distance is the ARCO SEMPIONE restaurant on Via Massena.Turn right out of the hotel to the first junction, turn right and it is on the right. The pizzas are enormous, the fish excellent and it is used mostly by locals. Excellent value, friendly staff.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lancaster.
Fabulous, friendly hotel

Whilst a little way from the historic Duomo and Milan's centre, it is walking distance to the beautiful park and the amazing restaurants and bars at Piazza Sempione. The facilities and breakfast are top notch and the staff fantastically helpful. Our room had a lovely balcony and I will return again when visiting Milan.

My family and I were not disappointed upon arriving at the Lancaster Hotel. It's a 10 minute walk from the Cadorna train station. Very nice staff, nice breakfast.

I am also visitng Milan and so far I have been recommended a lot for visiting around Milan.
Lago di Como or Lago di Garda are wonderful lakes close to Milan. The German author Goethe has written a lot about the beauty of Lago di Garda.
You can go to Bergamo to enjoy its wonderful old town or Brescia.
