Tourist office
by Polly74
You can find the tourist office in Piazza Duomo. Facing the Duomo, it's on your right, next to Palazzo Reale. There you can find interesting brochures on what to visit in Milan, you can ask for help in booking tickets and check what's going on in the city.
Mosquito-poison
by Turska
My sister visited Milan in June and we did at July.Me and my sister both had very allergig reactions of Milanese mosquitos.Belive me:there are lots of mosquitos at home, but they make us only ichy, but these ones got us both serious problems,my legs were all red and with yellow(!!)spots, witch broke and had matter inside.I had to use medicin, and so did my sister. Our both husbands had only little ichy,so it doesn´t wok as bad to anyone. But just in case, take some poison and something for iching spots with you. Some say, that you shoul eat antihistamin before you go.
Clothes-not high fashion
by draguza about Corso Buenos Aires
This street is in the very center of Milan and it is full of nice and "affordable" stores, just one close to the other
Avoid going there during Christmas time though it is so crowdy you cannot walk! You can find here almost every kind of women and men clothes, shoes
Just for it's famous owner...
by Henrik_rrb about Baci e Abbracci
... it's worth to go to Baci e Abbracci (Kisses and hugs). The place owners are football-stars Christian Vieri (Inter) and Christian Brocchi (Milan) and they are there now and then.
But also apart from that the bar is really nice, calm and with normal prices (7 euro for a cocktail). The service was a bit lazy when I was there, but still a nice place.
The restaurant I never tried out, but it looked nice anyway.
Just make sure to don't go there on the night after Inter has played really bad... Earlier this season (03/04) some guys smashed the sign of the place with some kind of molotov-cocktail after Vieri had played incredibile bad in a game. No guards when we were there, but as always in Milan it's normal to dress nice.
There are 2 airports in Milan,...
by Svitata
There are 2 airports in Milan, the main one being Malpensa. Being the major city of Italy, it is well served by trains and buses from most towns. It is also close to the Swiss border and you can cross over in about 45mins' drive up north!
It's advisable to go around in Milan by the metro. Trying to drive within the city would be madness!
