There's a reason why these rooms are cheap...
because they'll take the rest of the price from whatever can be found in your room! I would just like to warn fellow travelers of our experience with this hotel. Yes, it was naive of us to leave anything at all in our hotel room, but after the ~20 min it took us to eat breakfast downstairs, we returned to find money missing from bags in our supposedly locked room. The hotel staff was absolutely indifferent when we alerted them to the problem. I am positive that they receive a percentage of the thieves' takings. They took only partial amounts (the whole would be immediately noticeable) probably thinking we would not notice til later when it would be hard to figure out when/where the theft had occurred. If you want to stay here, do so at your own risk - just look out for your things and know that the extra 'tax' that Nuovo Marghera might impose can make this budget hotel a not so affordable option!
