There are some very good restaurants which serve the famous risotto Milanese. They're a bit tricky to find but a Google map should help. They are close to the Duomo area, and one, I remember, was Trattoria Milanese.

You can Google for the address. There are quite a few simple and delicious places on that same street.

We were in Milan last September and just used the many trams to get around - at first it was intimidating but eventually we figured it out. We were able to ask a map from the transportation station near the city.

The Duomo is a must and at night we enjoyed having coffee in front of it - directly across it is a McDonald's with chairs outside - but there are also other cafes in the periphery. Also, look at where the locals buy their ice cream and try to gelato - so yummy! I am not sure if I have done my Milan tips already on VT (?) Just using my cell phone now...
Also, if you schedule ahead you can see the Last Supper - we just went with a local tour company which we reserved thru Expedia activities. They tour you around the city and also includes ticket for Last Supper. You could also try to buy tickets at the museum itself...but we did not have time to do that and had also only two days. So, we reserved ahead of time because we really wanted to see the Last Supper.
We also reserved a tour of the Navigli River, but it was cancelled because we were the only passengers (not enough) but we were able to buy the boat tickets ourselves which can be bought at the river dock itself. I suggest you just do this but u need a map and someone to show you how to get to that river dock - I know we got lost a bit but eventually found it....

Have fun...JumpingNorman

Brera is a great museum. It was founded for educational purposes, so it contains paintings from several centuries covering all the styles and the works of all major Italian painters.

For shopping at bargain price you should try RJ Outlet. The address is 37 Via Zumbini. The nearest metro station is Famagosta. In this shop you can find items by Armani, Fendi, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Versace and others. Reductions vary from 50% to 70%.Reductions vary from 50% to 70%. Opening time is 10 am to 7 pm, Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm to 7 pm on Mondays.

Civiche Raccolte d'Arte

Everything is clarified by the name......
This disco pub is absolutely the most amazing place in Milan! It's forbidden to take pics .... cause they are a DEVIL PROPERTY! Don't wear suits or smart clothes.
You'll enter in the wired satanic word .
What to wear is after you now!

The Garibaldi's station

by parik112

Another great train station near Central Station (2km far).
In front of the station there is the BUS TERMINAL where you can find bus for the most important cities of Europe and Italy.
Under the station there is the underground station (GREEN LINE) and the other underground station for Malpensa's airport.
In the station there are a lot of shops, bar and three newspaper kiosks where you can buy the underground and city bus tickets.
The station is oriented from EAST to WEST.
