Piero Rotta Youth Hostel

It was the cheapest place we found in Milan. You maybe have to share the bedroom with an unknown person, and the bathrooms are shared too.
Breakfast is included, the bedrooms are quite good and they are clean.
You can arrive there by metro, you have to get off the metro in QT8 station. Then you´ll have to walk for 10-15 minutes.
There is many young people so there is a nice enviroment at nights. There are lockes to put your stuff.

Unique Quality: You can´t stay at the hostal from 9:00 to 15:00. It really sucks!!

HI Hostel, Milan

Room was clean. Reception staff were OK. Hostel is some distance from the centre of town, and there is a curfew.

Breakfast was poor. The attendant shouted at one of my companions because he took a 5g portion of goats cheese AND a miniscule apple.

Photo is courtesy of Hostel website.

Unique Quality: None.

Hostel

I just wanted a place to say and i got it. Service was ok, rooms too. But toilets and shower room were separate and i´ve seen better.
Location is also not that good, but you get near the hostel using metro. I can recommend this, but i think i would go for other hostel.
Price is 18,5 euros.

The Youth Hostel...

The Milan Youth Hostel by the name of Ostello Piero Rota has a friendly atmosphere. Although it's not in the town centre but if you want cheap bed, this is the place ! I stayed there for 1 night : Euros 16.50.
The photo on the left was a church I passed by on the way to the Hostel, which is along Viale Angelo Salmoiraghi.

Worst Hostel Yet - HI Milano

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed at! First of all it is located in a very inconvenient area - from the center of the city (where the subway stops) it is about a 20 min. walk. The staff are very rude and unhelpful. This is one of the most disgusting places I have stayed at - I didn't want to take off my shoes or use the bathroom. Certainly not worth the time! You can see my review (and others) at:

The exact address for the reviews is:

Unique Quality: This was, unfortunately, the only hostel in Milano at the time I was there. However, I did just come across a website for what appears to be a hotel/hostel accommodation at:

http://www.redflag.info/hostel/milanhostel.htm

I don't know anything about it, but perhaps this is something worth looking into.
