We satyed here two nights at july 2008.Staff was very nice, and hotel very clean and nice.Even the breakfast was good for an Italian hotel-we Finns like to et good breakfast, and skip usually the lunch,so croissant and cafe is a breakfast for us.Here they had bread and even jogurt and eggs and so on.
Two little negative things was:it wasn´t so lose to Dome,as they let us understand in adds, and no-one told us,that outside-walls and balconys were under renovation,so we couldn´t use the balcony, and from our window-we saw nothing!Only white plastic. But of course,it will be ready some day,and theb you´ll have a view to street.Luckily there was air-conditioning,so it helped us to get cooler behind that plastic.
Unique Quality: There´s a underground-station very close to hotel-we went both nights to Navigli, and there was a straight connection to area.
Price might be higher, when they get that renovation ready.Cheapest prices again at Venere.com
Directions: close to Moskva underground-station
We only stayed here one night going from Australia and NZ to London. It cost 80 Euro for 3 adults including a generous breakfast. The room was large and so was the ensuite. The hotel is in a convenient position to walk to various points of interest eg. Duomo 2km, Castello Sforzesco 1 km
The wireless internet worked.
Unique Quality: It is a good choice if you have luggage you don't enjoy carrying as it's a short walk from Subway station Moscova.
Wasn't impressed by the hotel (it was also being renovated at the time of my visit). Price was excellent - so no complaints there! The surrounding areas weren't inspiring, and the room wasn't something that I would miss. Not horrible, but not good.
Mid-August, 2004 we stayed in two triples at the Comfort Inn Ritter Hotel, a three star which was half a block from one of the metro stations, and so very convenient. We paid 138.00 Euros for one night for both rooms, without breakfast.
We booked through venere.com which is how we got such a great rate. Across the street and up just a little is a nice bakery where we bought wonderful pastries to hold us over for dinner.
The only drawback was that our minivan didn't fit in the lift the garage suggested for safe parking. So, we emptied the van, said a prayer and left it on the street overnight. We came back the next morning and everything was fine.
Unique Quality: As a family of 6, we are always searching for values. This hotel was excellent and priced about what we have spent in hostels elsewhere, and we had our own, very clean bathrooms with excellent water pressure.
Staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, once we struggled through our survival Italian. All spoke English, with varying abilities.
The metro's closeness meant everything we wanted to see was close.
Directions: At the edge of the city center district
Hi - I will be spending an evening in Milan in January. Can anyone suggest best place ( es ) to see in just 1 evening. I land at 2 pm and fly out next morning at 10 AM.
Also any suggestions on good hotels in range of Euro 50 - $80?
I quite liked hotel Ritter, centrally located. Just a step from the metro. You will find it on google.
The best place to see in one afternoon-evening is Piazza Duomo and San Babila area. Perhaps you can also take a stroll in Corso Buenos Aires for some shopping.
