Trying to plan various connections from airport to milan central and ultimately catch a bus to south of Italy. How often do subway trains run and how long would it take to get from Milan's Stazione Centrale to Garibaldi FS? Thanks;
How often the trains run depends on the time of the day. I would say between 3 minutes at rush hours and 20 minutes late evening. Stazione Centrale is on the same metro line as Garibaldi FS, just 2 stops away .
Walking all over Milan, you'll notice very big and coulored ad's posters.
Milan is the Italian fashion city, it's the heart of so many actvities and it has a glossy image.
Moreover, here all is bigger than in other italian cities also ads....
It's so different respect small towns in Milan hinterland!!!!!!!
The Italians have a cult for the lunch breaks.
This is an Italian custom that I’ve learned in time, especially after a couple of times without eating.
As my main "activity" when going to Italy is visiting, I thought there will be no problem to eat something later in the afternoon. My surprise was to find almost all the restaurants closed and to finish eating Chinese food.
The usual lunch includes a sandwich (panino) or pizza, a drink (sometimes spumante) and coffee.
Again off the beaten path in Vimercate, the place where I work: Nonno Cet is a brand new restaurant in 'Oreno' neighborhood.
Small and good "atmosphered" it´s the ideal spot rushing away from the downtown crowd
What I red from VT,Ithought that Navigli is place full of party-people(I mean discos,and music like that playing everywhere),and nothing for other people.We were surprized,that there was good restaurants to eat,nice places to walk-and even pubs that play rock,not disco and other that kind of music.Those pibs were rare,but anyway-we foud coupple.
And even my parents(my dad being 70years-even if he seems and sounds younger,he´s not a part-people..)liked to eat and walk here(we weren´t with them,but they are there now).
I was amazed at this beautiful train station and my boyfriend told me 'this is nothing' as we had many fabulous cities ahead and I had not idea what he was talking about. He was right though. On to Venice, Florence, Rome, Monaco, and Paris and back to London.
