I stayed 2 nights with my friend. The hotel prepared for us a twin bed room as I requested. The location is just 1 street back from Corso Buenos Aires which is one of the big shopping streets in Milan. However, it's quiet enough comparing with other hotels closer to Duomo which are noisy with traffics. Just a couple of minutes walking from Metro, so it's quite convenient place. The hotel room is well cleaned. We had relax stay after a whole day walking in Milan city. At first, some of facilities such as a water boiler and tea cups were not serviced. We asked to bring those immediately, but they were late a bit. I recommend this hotel strongly, but that was a tiny dissapointment.
Unique Quality: The location is just 1 street back from Corso Buenos Aires which is one of the big shopping streets in Milan. However, it's quiet enough comparing with other hotels closer to Duomo which are noisy with traffics. Just a couple of minutes walking from Metro, so it's quite convenient place. Don't expect nice view from the hotel. Instead, there was a big photo of Milan in the room.
Directions: Metro station Porta Venezia is the nearest. A couple of minues walking from the station. Also there is trum, but I don't know the number.
This hotel falls far short of the 4* rating that it has and the name that it carries. The room and corridors are dirty, the bar is overpriced and the restraunt was closed for evening meal. The accomodation is slightly better than the hotel opposite which is semi boarded up.
The staff were friendly enough but had no better rooms to offer and seemed to think that the housekeeping in the hotel was adequate.
Breakfast was ok for cereals and toast but the ham and cheese had definately seen better days and the eggs and bacon needed to come off the heat 30 minutes quicker.
The reception and bar areas were of a much higher standard than the rest of the hotel so if you do stay over here I suggest sleeping bags in the lounge.
I have stayed in better hostels where at least you expect a lower standard of housekeeping.
Directions: Just off Via Buenos Aires
