Outlet shopping at Serravalle Scrivia
We are coming to Milan for 4 days next month (August) and wondered if anyone would recommend the McArthur Glen outlet village. It seems reasonably easy to get to from Milan by train (unless anyone knows different!) and there seems to be some good shops. Can anyone give a guideline as to the typical discounts available and whether it is worth making the trip. Particulary interested in Prada bags and Max Mara - although I believe that Diffusione Tessile is good for MM!
Any thoughts/advice would be gratefully appreciated - thanks in advance.
PS - We are staying at the Starhotel Rosa, this seems to be in an excellent location and was only 80 euros a night, seems like a fantastic bargain!

I would check on whether or not these stores are open during the month of August. The whole of Milan just about shuts down for the summer vacations, including retailers. Check out some of the other Milan forum discussions on this matter. Better be warned and prepared!
You should be ok ithough f arriving first week of August or last week of August though.
