The hotel is a three star, but I would imagine that's down to it having the necessary facilities - it has minibar, TV, etc - rather than being a nice hotel. It certainly isn't what you could call charming, with dark rooms and drab, rather depressing, decor. It is, however, and in a good location for transport links. It's close to the main train station, but no so close that the area is dodgy and the walk to the main sights is relatively short. The main reason I can only give the delle Nazioni a single star, though, is the terrible service we were subjected to on checking out. We'd paid extra for a room with jacuzzi. As the bathrooms aren't nice enough to want to linger, I was a bit disappointed on arrival. Nevertheless, I wanted to make use of the facility. No hot water. We called reception and twice someone came and tried to fix it. No good. Well, that was disappointing too, but not the end of the world. Trying to charge me for the use of the jacuzzi without being able to use it was aggravating, however. An argument ensued in the lobby, with the manager only reducing the price when I made to walk out without paying at all. I can't remember what I paid, but whatever it was was too much. And needless to say, I won't be returning.
