San Michele Maggiore
by Cristian_Uluru
The church of San Michele Maggiore is the most important Medieval religious building of the town. It is a masterpiece of the Romanesque Lombardo with many testimonies of the time in which Pavia was the capital of the Lombards Reign. The church was built in the 9th century and it was made in sandstone. In this church Frederick I, Holy Roman Emperor, became emperor.

"Italian Copenhagen"
When I stepped out from the train station and saw the city that looked like Copenhagen but was full of Italians, I understood - that's where I want to live. Really, the impression of the first contact was a really good.
"La citta' a misura d'uomo"
As Italians say, Pavia is a perfect town to live in - there's everything you need and it's not a huge metropoly.
I spent in this town 13 months and I was happy to have chosen this place to study.
Will add some separate photos and maybe someday will built a normal page...
