Via Gasparo da Salo
by iandsmith
The name of this street is Via Gasparo da Salo. I know this to be true because a local policeman wrote it in my notebook and, unlike my Quintodecimo experience (Aquasanta pages), I could read it.
This is one of the main streets running through the shopping area and off here are little laneways where you won't be driving your car, or bus, or anything. They are seriously narrow and for pedestrian traffic only.
Padenghe sul Garda
by croisbeauty
The huge and very well preserved medieval castle of Padenghe sul Garda is situated on the top of the hill which dominates the place. It was the stronghold of the Ghibellins, who constantly contended against the Guelphs. In 1330 it came under the rule of mighty Scaligeri family from Verona, and in the mid-15th century under the Venetian Republic.
