Flying into Verona Airport and Staying at Hotel Sirminoe from 1st August.
What alternative transfer options are available,and at what cost?
1) Shuttle bus + train (see my trasportation tip or Torri page here: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/4c02d/228a3/9/)
2) Limo service (see my "Car With Driver or Limo service in Verona" tip at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/4c02d/22618/9/) Distance is not that much, so price should not be to high, but of course you better ask.

Sunset is the time of the day which I like the most because no painter can paint the colours made by mother of nature. It is the time of the day when Sirmione and Lago di Garda looks fabulous. You can watch it from the top of the Castle Scaligero or from the lakeshore and both spots offer to you breathtaking scene.
Grotte di Catullo occupies whole area on the top of the peninsula, where an huge residential villa from the empirial Roman times was situated. Besides, the remains of an thermal complex of huge proportions have been found too.
