Montefalco, ItalyAntonelli Vineyards
After having an amazing bottle of wine with our dinner one night in Spoleto, my wife and I decided to try to find the vineyard from which it came. It was't that hard to find the charming village of Montefalco, where the coveted Sagrantino grape comes from. Once there, seek out the Antonelli family vineyard, and pay them a visit. It's a very small vineyard, but the wine is incredible. if you're luck, like we were, Mr. Antonelli himself will be playing with his grandchildren in the garden. A scene right out of The Godfather.
