When in Biella, don't miss taking a close look at the Baptistery in Duomo Square. It's a pre-Romanesque building built in the 10th-century. The walls show signs of the original Roman building. There is a noteworthy marble bas-relief from the 2nd-century in the lunette above the door. The simple interior contains the remains of frescos from the early 4th-century.
