I went to La Thuile in March 2010 for a week of skiing, and really enjoyed it. The only downside was possibly the lack of nightlife.
I am ready to go skiing again, and was just wondering whether it may not be better to go to Livigno or Sestriere (or somewhere else) this year? I am an intermediate skier, forty-something, and am looking for some ideas and inspiration, without completely destroying the bank balance!
If you're looking for great skiing in a sophisticated Italian resort, I can thoroughly recommend Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites.
Thanks so much. I saw it on the web, and was considering it. Do you have any experience of La Thuile, and if so, how does it compare?
In my personal experience, there's not much life in La Thuile.
Should you think of the Italian northwest, I can certainly recommend the more nightlife-inclined Sestriere or Bardonecchia.
Thank you Ant!
You're welcome ;)
