Ristoranti in zona lingotto

by LoSko

Buona gita a Torino!

There's really not much down there. Yeah, La Pista is nice but I'm not sure that it's got the atmosphere you're looking for. The website is here http://www.lapista.to.it/eng/index_eng.htm (I don't remember if that was posted above). I suggest coming back to the city center and checking out Hosteria La Vallee (Via Provena 3B) which is rated one of the most romantic restaurants in Torino.

Travel Tips for Torino

Via PO

This street begins in Piazza Castello and ends in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, near Po river.
It's a pleasant walk, under the portico. Look at Palazzo dell'Università, the Church of S. Francesco da Paola and Palazzo degli Stemmi.

Family Travel If you do not speak Italian I would suggest you bring along a pocket dictionary. In many cities and countries you can get by with speaking in English but there are not many tourists in Turin and many of the people do not speak much English.

Antico Campanile de Santa Maria delle Stelle

This clocktower is located in Rivoli, on your way up the hill to the castle. Rising thirty meters from the ground, the clock tower was built in the 1300s and is all that the gothic church that once stood on the site.

Cycling in Torino

by ant1606

After years of debate and pressure form citizens and organizations, a lot has been done in town to ease the discomfort and danger of who cycles around.
Although a lot more can be done - the dedicated cycling paths are currently being expanded - the city can now count on a decent network. With a yearly average precipitation amount of some 1,300 mm (52 in), leisure biking is for all and commuting sees an increasing popularity especially throughout traffic-banned downtown areas.
The City Council has bikes for rent at disposal for a fair rate at a few locations in town.

Network city maps are available at any information center in town. Link herebelow to such map.

Modern outside/traditional food

by Renescheffer about Stars and Roses

On the outside it looks like a disco; a lot of young people on the street. Modern like menu''s and orange/red table clothe.
My wife choose it and because all this i was sceptic. I just like basic.
But inside it was cosy. More dinerrooms. And the public was avereage despite of what it looked outside. Menu, we had....
2 coperto : 4 euro
1 crespelle sempre verdi: 6,50
1 linguine con calamari: 7
1 melanzane parmiggiana : 7
1 rondella salciccia 8
1 acqua gas: 2
1 docetta villadoria: 12,50
1 caffe: 1
1 americano 1
Total 49 euro
All was fine; only he linguine missed some taste. The Dolcetta d Alba was superb
