Great hotel for moderate price
This is from the website and all is true
Si trova nel centro di Torino, nella piazza della Stazione Ferroviaria Centrale "Porta Nuova". Nelle immediate vicinanze dell'Hotel troviamo la fermata del Bus per Lingotto Fiere e a 100 metri l'Air Terminal per l'Aeroporto di Torino Caselle. Nella Piazza ha inizio Via Roma, la via pi? elegante della citt?.
A piedi si arriva comodamente al Museo Egizio, al Duomo (Sacra Sindone), alla Mole Antonelliana (Museo del Cinema)
ed ai pi? importanti palazzi storici (Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama, Palazzo Carignano), santuari, teatri e monumenti.
Update after a visit 2/3 october 2004:
They are working to bring the hotel in a good Olympics 2006 level. But the rooms in the weekend are still 68 euro ! The breakfast for 7 euro is far much better then it was 5 years ago. There is also an internet pc available for 1,25 euro for 15 minutes. The square in front of the hotel ands the tramline are "under construction" for 2006.
Unique Quality: Big rooms with everything you need. Some rooms have a good view on the Piazza.
TV offers all international canals.
Very central located and friendly management.

HOTEL ROMA
We stayed for 130.000 lira.
Unique Quality: The room we had was wonderful. Although the property is older and styles have changed you could almost feel the luxury of the 30s or 40s. There was a sitting area just inside the door which led to our room which was probably 5 meters square. It had two balconies, a large marble fireplace, cathedral ceilings and antique furniture. The bathroom was the largest we had during our two weeks in Italy. We would have liked to take the room with us for the entire vacation!
