How can I get from Train station Bari Centrale to Hotel d'Aragona in Conversano by public transportation? What is cost?
Conversano is served by a private railway called "FSE" or "Ferrovie Sud-Est" (Railroads of the South East). You can see the schedule for Bari to Conversano at
http://www.fseonline.it/orari/Linea%201_A.pdf
The trains start at Bari Centro or Bari Sud-Est. The Bari Sud-Est station is about 500 meters east of the Bari Centrale (see www.viamichelin.com and zoom in on the city center).
The trip takes about 40 minutes, typical for a commuter line. NOTE: the FSE does NOT run on Sunday!!!
Once you arrive at Conversano, you are about 500-600 meters from the hotel at Via San Donato, 5 (again, you can use www.viamichelin.com to check its location)...this is a short walk or, depending on your luggage and mobility, the odds are good that there is a taxi here (most Italian train stations have taxi stands at least nearby)...
What time of day are you arriving in Bari?
As for the tariff, like most of these private railroads, the charge is per kilometer. By road, the distance is perhaps 35 kilometers, which would be 2.10 euro, but, of course, the railways' distance might be different, so maybe 2.30 or 2.50 euro...you get the general idea...
