lecce's pasta
I'm planning a trip to Puglia next winter..I'm thinking about renting an apartment for 2 in the center of Lecce or Ostuni..Is Lecce and Ostuni fairly level.??.My wife has bad knees ...Any recommendations will be welcome..

Im Irish and have a home in Ostuni and visit Lecce often. Ostuni would not be suitable for your wife as it is very hilly I live in the mountains in Ireland and find the hills there extream. Lecce is flat in the mostpart.

Lecce is fairly flat and easy to get around on foot.

Many of the ancient buildings of the old town, owned by rich families in the past, have private gardens inside.
Most of them are not open to the public.
If you are lucky (a couple of times in a year they may be visited) or are somehow able to have a look, you will be conquered by smells and colours: jasmine trees, orange trees, roses.
