- matera is supurb
- friendly people
- towncenters are authentic
- local products wine/ fruit/ olive oil are easy to find
- coastal road of Ottranto
- italian coffee
- a quick bite is easy to find and authentic
"average"
- difficult to find good restaurants
- not much renovation, isolating or heating in the houses
- expensive sleeping rate, quality is not verry high
- breakfast in Italy
- in the authum 70 procent of the facilities are closed.
- area lacks nature, no walking trails or reservates
"bad"
- the hole area arround the sea is build with holiday houses
- deserted in the winter, feels verry cold
- garbage on the coast
- no new develpment in this area, the newtowncenters look like the 70 ties with broken roads and inefficient routes trough the towncenters.
- not as pitoresk as i had hoped
