Hotel Villaggio Porto Giardino

I lived at the Hotel Villaggio Porto Giardino in Capitolo, Italy for about 110 days in spring & summer 1999. This is a modest, but friendly, hotel along the beautiful & rocky Adriatic coast.

Besides the beach, other attractions make this hotel a nice location. Within walking distance there are several dance clubs, 10-15 restaurants, Roman ruins, and nice walking/running trails.

The hotel has an average restaurant, two swimming pools with a well stocked bar (just avoid the Amaro Lucano!), cappuccino bar, picnic area, a few acres of walking trails, and a conference area. Prices range from 45 Euros to 115 Euros depending on the season and room location. The nicest & largest rooms are in the hotel, while the "villagio" area is more like condos or apartments, with four or more multi-room suites to a building, each suite with its own private entrance. There are about 15-20 hotel rooms and at least 200 villagio suites.
