Hi there,
we are travelling to Alghero in September and are a looking for car hire. We have heard of these guys - www.alghero-airport-car-hire.co.uk and was wondering if anyone had used them?

Think they are just a comparison site. We used travelsupermarket.com which worked out fine. One tip - don't leave it to the last minute, the airport is very small and cars are limited.
Hi. Just came home from Alghero and we rented a car at Cicloexpres right on Via Garibaldi, some 500 meters north from the old town. I think it was rather ok, competitive prices but be there early or phone in advance and make a booking. I got there at about 10 am and it was crowded. Might be better in september though. Great little Chinese diner near the beach, seems to have just opened in 2009. Don't know of another Chinese restaurant in Alghero
About Eu30 for 2 of us, 2 courses including drinks. Did not feel out of place landing in swim shorts and sandals and a T shirt for lunch staright from the lido My fabuorite is Hot & Sour soup (pictured). With so many antipasti I seldom start with zuppa in Italian restaurants so was just in the mood for this that day
