Hi Im intrested in finding out what the best place in sardinia is Im just up for a unny beach orientted holiday are there more beaches in cagliari than in alghero and also Id likr to find a decent 4* accomodation at affordable prices I'll probably choose alghero as the flights are really cheap please help me if you can by letiing me know the benefits of each place.

Alghero is one of the most touristic place in Sardinia. It could be a good choice if you enjoy places full of young people (disco, pubs, bars, ..) the same for Villasimius or San Teodoro.
With reference to the translucent and amazing sea, you can find beautiful places all around Sardinia. Believe me!
Do you like long white sandy beaches? So Chia - Pula, Villasimius, Costa Rey, San Teodoro, Stintino are waiting you?
Do you prefer small pretty beaches with gold-colored sand? Costa Smeralda is what you are looking for!
Do you like amazing beaches under big and beautiful reef and full of caves: 22 km from Cala Gonone to Cala Goloritze (Baunei).

Head to the main fort where the tourist info is in the old town, walk down av roma and you will find piazza municiple. theres a lovely square where you can have drinks for the cafe outside and have a pizza from the pizza shop any pizza under 5e now thats cheap. top of the range special
Myself, my wife and daughter went to Alghero for a 12-day vacation this summer. We had a really nice stay in Alghero, although our B&B (Algherosolemare) did not meet our expectations. The location was ok but the standard was poor with no toilet and shower in the rooms.
We had really nice weather (a little to hot for me but my wife and daughter liked it) och did a lot of sunbathing and swimming. We also did some other things that you read about in my tips.
