CAGLIARI MAIN STREET AT THE HABOURGreat beach time
We took the Terrenia ferry from Civitavecchia to Cagliari on the 16 hour overnight run. (do yourself a favor, spring for the 1st class cabin) There is some great shopping to be done in Cagliari and if you want to "beach-bum-it," like we did, Il Poetto is an easy bus ride away. Sardinia can be miserably hot in the summer, so come prepared. There's not an overabundance of things to see or do in Cagliari so if you get bored easily you would be well advised to rent a car or motorcycle to get out into the countryside. Seeing the street "perfomer" with his cat and mice. The mice and the cat were playing together like they were buddies. It was the darndest thing I've ever seen. I told me wife, "That cat ain't right."
