Dont forget to pack a waterproof jacket, whilst we were there the weather changed quite dramatically from sunshine to rain. Jon didnt have a waterproof, but we bought one quite cheaply in Selvino village. Be prepared.

Skiing in Selvino

In the centre of the village there is a dry ski run unfortunatley it was shut when we were there but I bet it is great when it is up and running, there is also an ice rink at the bottom of the hill, and an area set out for children to slide down the hill in a huge inflateable ring!

As you enter Selvino you will see this monument standing by the roadside at night it looks very pretty when it is lit up. Take a look at my other picture to see what you see when you are leaving Selvino, I thought this quite charming.

"Where is Selvino?"

Selvino is the place where I use to spend all my holidays (Christmas and New Year's Eve, Summer, week ends, National holidays) since 1986...
It' s a little town of 2.000 inhabitants situated in Seriana Valley, by Bergamo, a famous and interesting town of Northern Italy.
It hasn't any peculiarity, of course it's a nice town on the mountains but there are so many other places better than this (regarding the landscape) that the reason for which I dedicate to Selvino one of my travel pages is the fact that I love it too much!!
All my best memories are linked to Selvino...that time that I learned to bike, all Christmas days with my parents and relatives, my first boyfriend, my best friends...and I could list so many other things...
