study in catania

by tatar

I'll move to Catania to study . I have a lot of questions for you! Please help me, because I need these informations! Thank you very much!
I'd like to make this question: how much does it cost to stay at a rented badroom ? I want to rent it alone, , so I'm interested in the whole price . ? Could you please send me a web link where I can find some? It would be a great help! Thank you! Of course I have a lot other questions, but this is my first step!
Thank you for your help!

Travel Tips for Catania

The Art of Conversation, Italian Style

by rsleisk

Italians are great talkers, debaters and overall social people. I was sitting in my room one day and watched as a conversation was going on down on the street corner. I couldn't hear anything but I watched the animated gestures that these guys were doing to get their point across.

The regular guy who parks cars and directs traffic on this street corner is confronted by the guy on the left with glasses on. He is angry at the guy with the hat for some reason. Then this other guy walks up and gets into it with the guy with glassess on. It must have been a heated debate as they went on and on for about an hour with these dramatic gestures.

Home- Museum 'Giovanni...

Home- Museum 'Giovanni Verga'
This is the house where the writer lived for the most part of his life. Inside this nineteenth-century building you can feel the suggestive atmosphere of Catania in the last century; passing through the rooms previously occupied by the family of Giovanni Verga: the hall, the drawing room, the library, two bedrooms, a parlour and the dining room linked to the kitchen on the upper floor thanks to the service lift. All the rooms have the original furniture, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, books, dresses, etc. Everything reminds you of the writer and of his friends and relatives and of his daily life.

Vulcanos, roman mansions and greek theatres

by SirRichard

Sicily has such a great variety that here you can find ancient roman mansions (Piazza Armerina) with mosaics and baths, active vulcanos under your feet (Etna), and beautiful little towns on hill slopes (Taormina) with greek theatres and gorgeous views.
