Sea front studio apartment: Basic studio with a fantastic view

We were met at the airport by our landlord who charges us 60 Euros for the transfer, but we later discovered that we could have arranged a commercial transfer for less, though probably without our excursion through Palermo.
The apartment was located on the first floor of a building which faced the sea, in the old town of Cefalu. We eventually found adequate supplies for food, but it was a long way to the supermarket and although there appeared to be a local bus, we could find no information about where and when it ran.
The apartment was one big room with a single bed, a double and a bunk above the double. It was simply furnished, all in pine, but apart from the kitchen table there was no where else to sit.
Equipment was basic but there was a washing machine and a few pegs for hanging our washing from the balcony.
We had to make up our own beds, and there were no basic supplies eg salt, pepper, oil.
Having said all that it was adequate for our purposes, quiet apart from the sea, and spotlessly clean, and the balcony and its view were to die for. The landlord was very friendly and spoke good English and offered us an outing in his yacht, but our mobility issues meant we had to refuse.

Sicilian Break travel: your home in Cefalu

This was a very pretty little apartment 1 block from the beach and about 2 blocks from the main square in front of the Duomo. It had a cute and tiny little kitchen downstairs and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bedroom was very nice with a view over the rooftops of Cefalu. The only downside was that it was up a lot of flights of very narrow stairs. We walked up one or two flights just to the apartment, then the room was another flight up from the kitchen. Also, because there is no manager on the premesis, when we found that the gas had not been turned on, there was no one to ask how to get it going. All in all, it was a very nice place.
