Great Location, nice hotel

We stayed there for 3 nights. Giardini Naxos is very, very close to the mega touristic city of Taormina, but it is at the beach. Public transport leads you to Taormina. The bus stop is right at the door of the hotel.
Every room is diferent, and the views are fantastic. The sea, and when it is clear you can see mainland Italy from there.
They serve free "aperitivo" for guests at 18:30(free food, not the cocktail).
Breakfast is included and it is worthy. Lots of diferent things.
It was low season and we payed 73 euros per night.
Very good hotel close to Venice

I foud this hotel searching for accomodation in Mestre - which is the continental part right near Venice. From this hotel you take the bus which is right in front of the hotel (on the other side is the bus stop for Venice and on the same side with the hotel is the arrival bus stop from Venice). There is one bus every hour but in the evening, for returning back, you should check out and write down (or keep in mind) the evening schedule which you can find exactly where you get off in Venice - Piazzale Rome (in the bus terminal). If I remember we used the 10.20pm bus from Venice back to the hotel. Oh, the price for one way bus ticket is 1 EUR :) Well, the hotel (Hotel Palladio) itself is very cosy, three stars (and worth them), around 80eur/night/room if you book in advance. All needed amenities in the room, including air conditioning and a good breakfast - the best you can have in Italy (in hotels less than four stars that is). Overall I can recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Venice and willing to take the bus 20 minutes to/from Venice. I would definitely stay again here during my next visit.
