Private house: Don't worry about overcrowded season

I arrived in Lipari on middle of August. Id est in the peek of high season (on 15th august "ferragosto" the very all italians are on holidays).
But not scared, I called some private house offering their rooms. And I found this lovely one near Pianoconte (up the hill) at a rate that was less then the half of one in Lipari town.
With a bedroom, with a kitchen, with a terrace with terrific view on Filicudi.

The last day we decided to stay one more night, but the flat was already booked.
The lady managing the house did let us stay for free with our tent in her garden.

So if you have a transport consider to search an accomodation outside the Lipari Town. The island is little enough to reach every sites in few minutes.
