Private House

Be aware that Panarea is the most expensive island of Eolie group.
The island is very small, and in high season it is overcrowded (especially in daytime).
There are some private house where is possible to find an accomodation (normally on one week basis).
On this island the local house are very nice. So it can be very fine to chose this type ok accomodation.

An example of price (2005) that you can find on the net: one week a room for 2 people from 200 euro in low season, to 800 euro in high season.

Apartment stay

I stayed my whole trip on Maria's apartment. I had a room, bathroom and a big teracce.

Every morning I walked down to the main alley and had my morning cup of coffee at a bar. It was the bar at the end of the one and only passenger dock.

Maria works in Hotel Tesoriero as a cleaning lady. You will reach her there.
Please when asking the room be tactful as I don't think that the owners of Hotel Tesoriero wants that their cleaning lady "takes" their possible customers..

She does not speak any English but if you speak a little Italian or any Albanian you'll manage well...

She is a great lady! The apartment is clean and location is fine.

Hotel Tesoriero: Center location

This is a small family run hotel.
It is located close to the sea and to the harbour and in the middle of everything.
It is very easy to find.
