La Nassa: A Place for Daydreaming
This was an excellent find at the last minute before travelling to Stromboli. This is a quiet (at least in September) pensione away from the main crowds on Stromboli but not too far to walk to some of the excellent restaurants on offer. Each room is separate and has its own entrance from the terrace where you can sit and eat or sunbathe in peace. All rooms have an en suite shower room and tea/coffee making facilities.
The view to Stromblicchio from the room is breathtaking. Behind the room is the looming shadow of the volcano and you are always aware of her power - you can even hear her rumble in the dead of night - exciting stuff!

WHERE TO SLEEP?
I have to admit I slept on the beach, everything was full and I didn't want to miss out on the volcano. I wouldn't recommend it, the night breezes are very cold without a good sleeping bag! If you want somewhere decent priced to stay try CASA DEL SOLE well in advance. Other than that this is the Monte Carlo of Italy and prices are high!!
Its located on:
Via Giuseppe Cincotta
98050 - Stromboli (ME)
