Hotel Isola di Mozia

2-night stay to explore Marsala and Trapani. Rooms are small but fairly comfortable. There was a little veranda with two chairs facing the street. Bed mattress was the memory foam type which was excellent. The shower was a large rain shower head which provided the best shower I had in all Italy to date. Wireless Internet was also very good as there were multiple routers in the hotel that easily reached the room and the public areas. On the negative side, do not take a room facing the street! The road is a very active country road (day and night) where you will hear cars, trucks and motorcycles racing by. Also a train track goes along the road and every hour or so you will hear a train that sounds like a tornado go by your window! To top it off, there is a dog kennel across the street and a pack of dogs bark incessantly as soon as there is any activity, which is basically constantly. Breakfast was average for Italy, though on some days no bread was provided and one had to contend with the pre-packaged dried variety. The hotel has a small pool in the back. Staff is generally very friendly and accommodating though the lady that handles the breakfast prefers smoking a cigarette over serving customers. Parking is free and easy to find.
