Restaurants/Bars in Palermo
Hi, am staying in Via Roma next week....I love coming Italy for the food....its my 3rd time in Sicily! It would be great to have good recommendations for restaurants/bars in Palermo.....or Cefalu as am spending a day there....
we are spending 4 days on the aeolian islands so any hints or tips appreciated!

Many excellent restaurants in Palermo. My choice is Cin-Cin. Not a great entrance but once inside the restaurant is pure gourmet. Located off of the Piazza Croci about one block at Via Liberta. They also take credit cards. Cefalu, ah, dining is just looking out to sea from La Rocca or near the harbor where a shrine for the local fisherman sits off the main small street. But, from gourmet at the Osteria de Duono, across the street from the magnificent cathedral seeming too large for the quaint town, to Gabbiano with local seafood located in town. Appetito buono. Ciao

One of my favourite restaurants in Cefalu is Trappitu. It has good food and overlooks the ocean. In Palermo, i love the bartenders at the Astoria Palace Hotel. They are so friendly & serve the best drinks. They also have live entertainment on certain nights. I can't wait to go back there. Also in Palermo, Ristorante 59 (across from Teatro Massimo) had good food at decent prices.
