An Ancient Spa

"Pizza on the Piazza"

Watching the sun set over the Mediteranean from the tables of a pizzeria on Piazza Scandaliato was a fine way to begin our short sojourn in this old hellenic spa resort with it's mixture of medieval moorish maze plus a leavening of sicillian baroque palaces lining the major streets of the historic centre.

Of course, whilst we dined, the local feline population was hanging around with hopes of some scraps (with some justification I'd add - they were BIG pizzas!)
