Getting married in Taormina

Hi
My boyfreind and me are planning on getting married in Taormina next may
we are hoping ot have a week there when all our freinds can enjoy the sights and the beach, is the weather warm enough in may to swim and sunbathe
Please advise as having the beach to enjoy is a big aspect to us in choosing our wedding area.

Yes, as far as the weather is involved, you can't predict exactly... But most chances are for a sunny weather, but an average high of 21 may mean sone +30 days. Sure the water is cold at the beginning of the season, but in a sunny day a short swim isn't so hard to do!!!
Think just about this: the almond trees bloomed 2 weeks ago, in Sicily!

May is a bit early for sea swimming - though once its warmed up you can swim till late October usually. Having said that, you see people swimming from Easter onwards, so it depends on how hardy you are!

Let's see what kind of pizza shall I order this time?

In Sisily you eat pizza only in the evening but in tourist places also available during lunch time!

There are many pizzerias in the narrow side streets and plaza areas of Taormina - no problem to find one.



This pizzeria was empty at first but as soon as pizzas arrived at our table it was crowded and the owner happy unlike his collegue next door who tried previously to propose his tables...but they were in a shady part and I wanted to sit in the sun!





This is another pizzeria La Botte. It was in a shady area provided by this superbe orange tree! Here too pizzas were excellent - but hey this is Italy - no better this is Sisily!!

Flowers

Visiting Sicily in spring is great as they are lots of flowers and everything is growing and blooming.

On the pic you can see one prety flower on the edge of Piazza IX Aprile in the background the sea.
