Taormina
Me and my friend (we r 2 girls of 20 years old)
we want to go to Taormina in august 2004 for 2 weeks.
Does any 1 know some hotel (not too expensive) there?
And can any 1 tell me something about the nightlife there?

I stayed at a family run hotel/villa called villa greta which was about a 10 min walk from the centre of taorimna. It wasn't the easiest of places to find as it was up the hills!! But i could see mt etna from my room so couldn't complain. you also get a great view down towards naxos gardinia.

there are a few bars etc around, didn;t get to see much of the night life as i was there for 2 days.

Hi Claire,
when I'm looking for an accomodations in sicily I search on a website (www.siciliaviaggi.com). It's almost in italian but there are a lot of hotel, bed and breakfast listed. You can take a look and ask them for pricing then choose yours. remember that August is taormina is very crowded and prices are very high!!! My advice is some place NEAR Taormina and the use buses to trip around.

Between Taormina and Giardini Naxos you find a lively disco-pub nightlife. But try not to miss Taormina Arte events (theatre and music, visit www.taorminaarte.com), it is very special and traditional and the greek theatre might host some of them.
