We spent a long weekend at this hotel in February/March and found the staff to be very helpful. Breakfast could have been a little more imaginative for that price, though to be honest there was plenty of it !
I can imagine that anyone with difficulty sleeping might have problems here. The boiler was noisy and the street outside is a thoroughfare on weekend evenings. On the plus side, it was great to sit on the balcony in the sun (20 degrees C at the end of Feb) and watch the world go by, including the vegetable vendor with his hand cart.
Unique Quality: Hotel rooms are actually apartments and even if you're only booked for B&B, you do still enjoy the spaciousness and the use of a proper table, fridge etc.
The lift is useful, considering the fact that the breakfast room is on the 4th floor.
Bed was firm, but then we're waterbed fans.
Directions: In the old centre, off Piazza Garibaldi, 2 minutes walk from the Porto bus stop (limited service), 25 minutes walk from the railway and bus stations.
