I am searching on the net about the direction or ways to go to Lago di Caldaro and nothing I can get !!
I would like to know is there any public transport that I could take from platz walter to Lago di Caldaro ?

you should take the SS12 towards Merano, exit at Appiano and follow the directions towards Appiano/Caldaro. You will go through the towns of "Pianizza di Sotto" and "Caldaro sulla strada del vino". After 2 km you will reach San Giuseppe al lago which is on Lago di Caldaro.

From Bolzano/Bozen to Lago di Caldaro/Kalterersee there are many bus connections during the day. You must change in Caldaro/Kalter to reach the lake.

The Cathedral of Bolzano was dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and it is the most significant Gothic stayled cathedral in the area between Milan and Ulm.
It was built in the 14th and 15th centuries with an elegant apse, a steep tile roof. Fine doorways and reliefs adorn the exterior, and three aisled interior has frescoes of the 14th to the 16th centuries.
You will be treated to some non-Italian music at Piazza Walther played by the locals. These musicians will entertain you with some German or Austrian music. The music is very festive and lively, and is very enjoyable. You can throw him some change if you like.
The cow-bell music really makes you feel relaxed during tense trekking. On the way to Ritten Horn the "kling-gling" sound appeared to be the only "noise" arround... and a bit of "hi" while meeting few tourists in the middle of September. Good time to enjoy and relax...
The monument to Rossi, who was the founder of the modern textile industry in this area. The trade mark of "Lanerossi" wool fabrics was wide world known as among the best on market. Unfortunatelly, the factory was closed many years ago.
