I was checking the tips and there is none on the hotel I booked:
Hotel Ariston - Via Roma, 82
Does anyone have info on that?
About sightseeing tips I already got some catalogues, visited some websites and read the tips here by members.
I have my flights booked already and was wondering if there is any other thing that is useful to know about when visiting Bolzano.

Bolzano has some mueums to visit. I'd recommend to buy the Museum CArd at the tourist office in Piazza Walther. This gives you some discounts on the entrance fee in every museums.
When are you going to Bolzano?
I was delighted by the beauty of the dolomites... so we were visiting two places. Sexten in the Alta Pusteria near the Austrian border, and the region around the famous Sellaronda, a mountain where you can ski all day long around a mountain, never you take the same lift...

Take care on the hike back down from Piz Boe. There are some steep sections when you are coming down in what appears to be a rock slide. The rocks can slide out from under you as you go. At the top of Piz Boe is a little cafe where you can get something to drink and eat. The pic was taken of my brother on the descent from the summit. There's a sailplane gliding overhead.
Waterproofs and walking boots with good non slip soles eg Vibram. We found two books gave good detailed instructions for walks in the area. Both are by Gillian Price and printed by Cicerone press. Walking in the Dolomites and Walking in the Central Italian Alps. About £11 each.
Good maps showing contours and giving a good idea of how steep your walks are likely to be are the Tabacco maps, 1:50,000.
Bozen city lies in a sheltered spot in the valley completely surrounded by mountains. It is not until you reach higher ground that you get to see those mountains.
The photo looking N.E shows the mountains towards the Val Gardena, I am not very familiar with what is visible, howevere I believe the three spires could be Alpe de Tires with part of Sasso Lungo beyond.
The monument that honours the casualties of the Big World War is situated on very beautiful square, just a foot from the cathedral. The Italians pay a lot of attention to those who died in the wars combated for the patria.
