Chalet Tabia: One of Collett's Apartments
Self-catered apartment was very clean. We had the second floor apartment which consisted of a small single room, a double room bathroom(with shower, toilet, and washing machine). Living area with dining area and kitchen. Balconies around all sides.
Our friends had the top apartment, which also had ensuite to main bedroom and second large bedroom in the attic(only high enough for up to 10 year olds to use comfortably).
The landlord was a bit overbearing, I don't think he was that thrilled to have children in the apartment! We were also limited to heating the apartment (an hour in the morning starting from 7am; an hour in the evening starting 6pm) which we complained about but nothing was done. We had 2 cold days where the temp dropped to 0degC which was unseasonally low, which meant we freezed for 2 nights.
Great views from the balcony and right in the middle of Arraba.
The accommodation was organised through Collett's Mountain Holidays. So the accommodation was part of a package, including organised activities...therefore the price is not only accommodation. 3 people for 7 nights was 730pounds.

Hotel Dolomiti: Simply but perfect
I spent some days this winter, the hotel have a great panoramic view. u can take breakfast looking to Padolo surrounded by the Dolomites.
It's furnished in mountain style, and even if is simply, has all the necessary conforts: family that manages it is very kind. A morning I don't waked up and even if the time to take the breakfast was finished, the owner wanted to prepare me it... "u cannot go to ski without a good coffe!"
Each room have Tv satellite and telephone, balcony with great view.
Private parking, ski lookers, 2 summer terraces and some living room with a bar and a reading room.
It's possible to rent mountainbike.

Rifugio Passo Cereda: Nice place south of the Pala group
It is called "rifugio" but it is a very comfortable place which normally would have a two star classification in Italy. It has nice cosy rooms and a restaurant offering huge servings of typical regional dishes - and all to reasonable prices.
Rifugio Passo Cereda is an ideal overnight stop for travellers exploring the Southern Dolomites by road. Nice hikes off the beaten path can also be made from here.

Colfosco: Cool Camping
We weren't very happy with the location of our apartment, so for a split second (just almost) I was bit jealous of these folks.
That's the spirit, ha?
I admit that would not be my first choice, but my husband was ooohhh so happy to tell us once again his story of a lifetime how he slept in a camper while he was a ski instructor in Kranjska Gora, and how one night the heating stopped working, and he woke up almost frozen, and the clock was frozen, too ... : )

Villa al Sole: Sunny and peaceful
Our house was nice, quiet and clean, apartment was on a ground floor and completely accessible and adapted for disabled people. It was funny, sitting on that high toilet with my legs swinging. And the wall-mounted foldable chair was greatly appreciated during those long hot showers after skiing.
We were not very happy with the location, although it seemed close to ski lifts on the map, we had to walk quite a long way and actually commute to start skiing. Maybe if there was more snow while we were there, we might actually be able to ski our way to the lifts.
I would certainly go back there for summer holidays, because the house is higher than Val Gardena, so it gets sunshine much longer than those in the valley.
Al Sole - of course!
